September Changes!
Hello Gamers!
This summer was a successful one for Battlegrounds Gaming! I need to change our schedule a little in order to manage attendance. First and foremost is we will continue to be open on Mondays (after Labor Day). Our Monday night events will rotate among several games: Ascension Deck Building Game, Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures, Magic Modern Tournaments, and HeroClix! Each one will get its own dedicated Monday nice each month.
Our weekly Dungeons and Dragons Encounters group will be moving from Tuesday to Thursday nights at 7:00 pm.
The other days will run as usual. Here is how our weekly schedule will look:
Monday – Rotating games, see above
Tuesday – Magic Booster Draft at 7:30pm
Wednesday – Board Game Night 5pm-11pm
Thursday – D&D Encounters
Friday – Friday Night Magic with the most recent set – 7pm
Saturday – Magic Standard Tournament at 1pm (with Win-A-Box on the 3rd Saturday)
Sunday – Warhammer 40K
From the Vault 20
Friday, August 23 is the release date of the much-anticipated From the Vault: 20. We are getting a small quantity. The price is $195 with a limit of 1 per person. I won’t be selling these over the phone or on the internet.

This is what we have going on this month for Magic the Gathering.
Magic From The Vault 20
There is a lot of excitement about this set since the announcement that Jace the Mind-Sculptor will be included. This set releases August 23.
We are getting a limited quantity of these. I’ll let you know how it will be available to you. Or you can win one in our Magic 2014 Sealed League (see below).
As with Modern Masters, I will not be selling these online – only in store.
Magic Sealed League & Anniversary Tournament
Magic2014 Sealed League, July 25
Each participant gets 6 boosters of M14. Each week after the first, players may purchase 1 booster pack and add it to the pool. Your first 4 matches each week count towards your record with additional match wins adding to your tie-breaker total. Runs for 5 weeks. Can‘t get all matches in a week? You can make them up the following week.
First place will win a box of From the Vault: 20! Remaining prizes will be determined on number of participants.
BG’s Anniversary Tournament, July 27
We are celebrating our 2nd Anniversary with our Second Annual mini-Worlds type tournament!
It will start with 3 rounds of Magic 2014 sealed.
The next 3 rounds will be Standard.
The top 8 will draft Magic 2014 to determine the winner.
Entrance fee is $30. Starts at noon!
First place will win a box of Modern Masters! Other prizes will be determined.
