Shop Small Saturday

November 30, 2013 is Shop Small Saturday – small business’ answer to Black Friday that big box stores have.  American Express is promoting this event by granting a $10 statement credit to their members who spend at least $10 at qualifying locations such as Battlegrounds Gaming.  To take advantage of this, members must register their AMEX card at here.

As part of Shop Small Saturday, Battlegrounds Gaming will have the following sales on November 30:

  • 20% off all board games
  • 20% off all Warhammer models
  • Magic the Gathering Intro Decks at $10 each and event Decks at $15 each.

September Changes!

Hello Gamers!

This summer was a successful one for Battlegrounds Gaming!  I need to change our schedule a little in order to manage attendance.  First and foremost is we will continue to be open on Mondays (after Labor Day).  Our Monday night events will rotate among several games: Ascension Deck Building Game, Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures, Magic Modern Tournaments, and HeroClix!  Each one will get its own dedicated Monday nice each month.

Our weekly Dungeons and Dragons Encounters group will be moving from Tuesday to Thursday nights at 7:00 pm.

The other days will run as usual.  Here is how our weekly schedule will look:
Monday – Rotating games, see above
Tuesday – Magic Booster Draft at 7:30pm
Wednesday – Board Game Night 5pm-11pm
Thursday – D&D Encounters
Friday – Friday Night Magic with the most recent set – 7pm
Saturday – Magic Standard Tournament at 1pm (with Win-A-Box on the 3rd Saturday)
Sunday – Warhammer 40K

Hey Folks!  This is exciting!  So many people want to participate.  I’ll do what I can to accommodate all of you, but please understand that there is limited space and I might not be able to do so.

Because of this, I can not allow any more sign ups.  You can play if you have already spoken to Steve, Jon Hoyt, or Matt Pechous.  You should already have your army and size assigned.

Note on parking: Do not park in front of the restaurant.  There is additional parking for a few cars behind the building.  Take the alley next to the laundromat.  Battlegrounds Gaming is the black door with the light on next to it.

40K Apocalypse Battle – June 2

Our next Apocalypse Battle for Warhammer 40K will be on June 2, 2013.  Please check out the event on our Facebook Page (link below) and be sure to let us know what army you can bring and how many points.  This will be important so we can have the sides balanced.

40K Holiday Themed Event

On Sunday, Dismember 23, Battlegrounds Gaming with host a holiday-themed, multi-player event.  Players should bring a tank with a small unit to go inside.  Entrance fee is $5.  Fun begins at 1pm.

Update:  You may use skimmers.  No flyers allowed.  You can use up to 2 tanks as long as you do not exceed 250 points.  No weapons that insta-kill are allowed.
