Battlegrounds Gaming has been open 3 years and it is time for our annul multi-format tournament.
July 19 @ Noon. (Doors open at 11am)
$25 to enter.
Rounds 1-3 are Sealed Magic 2015
Rounds 4-6 are Standard
Top 8 will draft Magic 2015
1st place: 1 booster box of Magic 2015 OR From the Vaults: Annihilation (comes out in August)
2nd palce; 1/2 booster box
3rd-4th: 1/4 booster box each
5th-8th: 3 booster packs each
The Pre-release tournaments for Magic 2015 take place on July 12 and 13 (Saturday and Sunday)! We have 4 events in which you can participate:
The entrance fee for each event is $30. Space is limited. We strongly recommend you sign up early to reserve your spot.
Cancellations are accept up to 24 hours before the event. Please let us know so someone else can take the spot. If you have to cancel and there is less than 24 hours before your event starts, please still let us know. You will still be able to get your sealed booster packs (but no refund).
Update – because of the rain, Battlegrounds Gaming is now open. FNM draft still happens at 7pm.
Battlegrounds Gaming will be open at 5pm July 4. We will hold our regular Friday Night Magic booster draft at 7pm.
Magic: Conspiracy comes out June 6, 2014. It is the first-ever multiplayer-focused booster set has new Magic cards with new mechanics that enhance multiplayer play. Returning favorites from throughout Magic’s history round out the set and cultivate an environment of deception and treachery. The Magic: The Gathering–Conspiracy set is designed to be drafted with six to eight players who then split into groups of three or four players for free-for-all multiplayer games.
For Friday Night Magic on June 6, Battlegrounds Gaming will run 8-man drafts with Conspiracy. As soon as we have 8 people, we’ll start a draft. Entrance fee is $15.
We will do the same thing Saturday at 5pm after our Magic Standard event.
Attention Magic Players!
I’m going to host a Modern tournament May 10 at 6:00 pm after our weekly Standard event. The entrance fee is $10 with a Misty Rainforest for 1st place and a Verdant Catacombs for 2nd. No proxies are allowed. It will run 4 rounds of swiss pairings with a cut to a top 4.
