Flames of War Demo – April 13
Interested in learning how to play Flames of War? Stop on by Sunday, April 13 at 1pm for a demo of this fantastic miniatures game based on World War II.
Table Top Day
International Table Top Day is Saturday, April 5. We will have tables set up of all sorts of board games starting at noon. Bring your own or choose a game from our library. You may have seen the Table Top channel on YouTube where Wil Wheaton and friends demo board games. Stop by and check it out.
Parking is limited and you may need to park behind the building.
Flames of War
We just got in some of the core figures and books for Flames of War.
From the Wikipedia article: “Flames of War (abbreviated as FoW) is a World War II tabletop miniatures wargame produced by the New Zealand company Battlefront Miniatures Ltd. The 1st Edition set of rules was published in 2002.
Flames of War allows players to wargame company level battles from the European and North African Theatres of World War Two, using 1/100 scale miniatures (15 mm figure scale) and miniature armour. In the 1st Edition rulebook basic army lists were provided for the mid-war period (1942–1943), while Battlefront published early (1939–1941) and late war (1944–1945) army lists on their website (subsequently these early and late war lists were removed). The 2nd Edition of the rulebook was published in 2006. The 3rd Edition of the rules was released on March 10, 2012.”

About Battlegrounds
Starting December 12, 2021 we are now at 326 WESTPORT AVENUE in Norwalk! In the building behind A Cat’s Place. This new space has separate gaming and retail space. Watch your step as you walk in the door – there is an immediate 2 steps down.
January 13, 2016 is the start of a new era for Battlegrounds Gaming! Our new location will open with more space and more parking! This larger space will allow us to run more events concurrently. July 8th, 2011 marked a new day for gaming in Fairfield County as Battlegrounds Gaming opened it’s doors for the first time. We are looking to provide a place for fans of all genres of games to get together to share their favorite hobby. We have tables available for trading card games, board games, Warhammer & 40k, and role-playing games. For the Magic the Gathering player, we will have weekly tournaments for standard and booster drafts!
Come to Norwalk, Connecticut and check us out! Easy to get to from I-95 or the Merritt Parkway (Route 15).
