September is here and that means the new fall set pre-release is at the end of the month!  Battle for Zendikar Pre-Releases take place September 26 and 27, 2015!  We will have our usual Midnight, Noon, 6PM tournaments on Saturday and Two-Headed Giant on Sunday!  Entry is $30.

We will start taking registrations for pre-release events on September 7.
Sign up early to reserve your spot. Space is limited.

The release of the set will be Friday, October 2, 2015.

From the Vault: Angels

MTGV15_Logo_AracanaThis year’s Magic the Gathering: From the Vault product features Angels. There will be 15 premium foil cards and 5 of them will have new art. A few cards in this set have already been announced: Avacyn, Angel of Hope; Iona, Shield of Emeria; Akroma, Angel of Wrath; and Akroma, Angel of Fury.

This set is limited to 1 per customer. Recent eBay sales have been as high as $85.  I’m selling them for $59.99.  Call to reserve a copy.

The release date is August 21st.

4th Anniversary Tournament July 25

July 2015 marks our 4th year anniversary! We will hold our annual multi-format tournament on July 25 at noon to celebrate!  $35 $30 to enter!

4th Annual Multi-Format, Mini-Worlds-Type, Anniversary Tournament!
   3 rounds of Origins sealed
   3 rounds of Standard
   Top 8 with booster draft Modern Masters 2015!
1 random participant will win a From The Vault Angels when it is released in August!
  First place:  Box of Origins or $100 credit
  2nd place: 1/2 a box or $50 credit
3rd & 4th:  9 boosters each or $25 credit each
  5th-8th:  3 boosters each
Anyone who has the same record as 8th place, but did not make the top 8 will also get 3 boosters!

Origins Release Draft FNM

Friday, July 17 marks the release of the newest Magic the Gathering set: Origins! We will hold a booster draft for FNM at 7pm.  Please sign up early with $15 to reserve a spot.  Don’t be left out.  Space is limited.

About Battlegrounds

Starting December 12, 2021 we are now at 326 WESTPORT AVENUE in Norwalk! In the building behind A Cat’s Place. This new space has separate gaming and retail space. Watch your step as you walk in the door – there is an immediate 2 steps down.

January 13, 2016 is the start of a new era for Battlegrounds Gaming! Our new location will open with more space and more parking!  This larger space will allow us to run more events concurrently.  Keep an eye on our event calendar for more information.  Also follow us on Twitter and our Facebook page or join our Discord.

July 8th, 2011 marked a new day for gaming in Fairfield County as Battlegrounds Gaming opened it’s doors for the first time. We are looking to provide a place for fans of all genres of games to get together to share their favorite hobby. We have tables available for trading card games, board games, Warhammer & 40k, and role-playing games. For the Magic the Gathering player, we will have weekly tournaments for standard and booster drafts!
