September Changes!

Hello Gamers!

This summer was a successful one for Battlegrounds Gaming!  I need to change our schedule a little in order to manage attendance.  First and foremost is we will continue to be open on Mondays (after Labor Day).  Our Monday night events will rotate among several games: Ascension Deck Building Game, Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures, Magic Modern Tournaments, and HeroClix!  Each one will get its own dedicated Monday nice each month.

Our weekly Dungeons and Dragons Encounters group will be moving from Tuesday to Thursday nights at 7:00 pm.

The other days will run as usual.  Here is how our weekly schedule will look:
Monday – Rotating games, see above
Tuesday – Magic Booster Draft at 7:30pm
Wednesday – Board Game Night 5pm-11pm
Thursday – D&D Encounters
Friday – Friday Night Magic with the most recent set – 7pm
Saturday – Magic Standard Tournament at 1pm (with Win-A-Box on the 3rd Saturday)
Sunday – Warhammer 40K

 

From the Vault 20

Friday, August 23 is the release date of the much-anticipated From the Vault: 20.  We are getting a small quantity.  The price is $195 with a limit of 1 per person.  I won’t be selling these over the phone or on the internet.

Hello Magic Players!

This is what we have going on this month for Magic the Gathering.

Magic From The Vault 20
There is a lot of excitement about this set since the announcement that Jace the Mind-Sculptor will be included.  This set releases August 23.
We are getting a limited quantity of these.  I’ll let you know how it will be available to you. Or you can win one in our Magic 2014 Sealed League (see below).
As with Modern Masters, I will not be selling these online – only in store.

About Battlegrounds

Starting December 12, 2021 we are now at 326 WESTPORT AVENUE in Norwalk! In the building behind A Cat’s Place. This new space has separate gaming and retail space. Watch your step as you walk in the door – there is an immediate 2 steps down.

January 13, 2016 is the start of a new era for Battlegrounds Gaming! Our new location will open with more space and more parking!  This larger space will allow us to run more events concurrently.  Keep an eye on our event calendar for more information.  Also follow us on Twitter and our Facebook page or join our Discord.

July 8th, 2011 marked a new day for gaming in Fairfield County as Battlegrounds Gaming opened it’s doors for the first time. We are looking to provide a place for fans of all genres of games to get together to share their favorite hobby. We have tables available for trading card games, board games, Warhammer & 40k, and role-playing games. For the Magic the Gathering player, we will have weekly tournaments for standard and booster drafts!
Come to Norwalk, Connecticut and check us out! Easy to get to from I-95 or the Merritt Parkway (Route 15).
