Born of the Gods Pre-releases February 1st and 2nd. $30
Sign up early to reserve a spot. Space is limited and every event fills up. We begin taking reservations January 15. Payment is due when signing up.
Each event will be “sealed-limited” where you will be provided with 6 booster packs from which to build a 40-card deck. Each event will run four rounds. We will be holding 4 events for pre-release weekend of Born of the Gods:
- Midnight (Friday night into Saturday)
- Noon Saturday
- 7pm Saturday
- Two Headed-Giant Noon Sunday, 1pm.
Modern Constructed, January 13 at 7pm, $10
Battlegrounds Gaming will now host monthly Modern Constructed Magic tournaments the 2nd Monday night of each month. We will allow each deck and sideboard to contain up to 7 proxy cards.
WIN-A-BOX, Saturday, January 18 at 1pm ($10):
Bring your constructed 60-card deck with a sideboard of up to 15 cards. The following sets are standard legal: Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash, Dragon’s Maze, Magic 2014, and Theros.
Prize payout:
- 1st place gets a booster box of Magic2014
- 2nd place: 1/2 a booster box
- 3rd & 4th: 9 booster packs
- 5th-8th: 3 booster packs
Born of the Gods Sealed League February 13 – March 20
Entrance fee is $20. Participants will each get 3 booster packs from each Born of the Gods and Theros from which you will build a 40-card (minimum) deck. Each week, you will be able to buy 1 pack for ($3.50) to add to your card pool. You may change your deck at anytime using only cards from the boosters you opened. Play 4 different matches each week (must be 4 different opponents). You may play more matches to accumulate tie-breaker points (1 per win, 0 for a loss).
